Feel the burn

Heartburn worse than hatch chili gravy and chicken fried steak

Halfway should have felt more triumphant. The tumor is shrinking. My hair hasn’t fallen out. I’m ok, mostly. 

It still felt like a lot more work yet to do. New issues kept popping up. I’d been warned of the myriad of side effects I might encounter over the 6 months of chemo but they still felt like a surprise punch in the gut.
